Director Biography
Pete has 28 years of public procurement experience with several state agencies, including the last 14 years with the Division of Purchases and Supply. In his current role, he manages a group of statewide sourcing and contracting officers who are responsible for the establishment of statewide master agreements for use by Virginia public bodies.
Pete is an instructor with the Virginia Institute of Procurement teaching various classes for the Virginia Contracting Associate (VCA) and the Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) certification programs since 2006. He holds the following certifications: Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), Virginia Contracting Master (VCM), Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) and has completed the Commonwealth Management Institute program through The Center for Public Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University. Pete also is a past president of the Virginia Capital Area Purchasing Association, a chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing. Tenure, March, 2018
