Cooperative Purchasing

The ABA Model Procurement Code for State and Local Governments defines cooperative purchasing as, “Procurement conducted by or on behalf of, one or more Public Procurement Units, as defined in this Code.”

In simple terms, cooperative purchasing involves sharing procurement contracts between governments.
