Massachusetts & Northeastern University

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Operational Services Division (OSD), launched a groundbreaking public-interest AI initiative in partnership with Northeastern University’s Burnes Center for Social Change. Together, the partners developed two (2) AI tools tailored to Massachusetts public sector needs: A procurement chatbot trained on MA state-specific regulations and policy. A generative large language model (LLM) contract assistant to support legal review, contract redlining, and negotiations.

Michigan State University

Their collaboration has been instrumental in developing future procurement talent and inspiring the next generation of public servants. State of Michigan Chief Procurement Official, and NASPO Board member Jared Ambrosier and his office are highly engaged with MSU, as Jared sits on the MSU Supply Chain Management Council, and he has filled several student internship opportunities in his office through this relationship.
