Course Description:

Type: self-paced, online

Description: This Procurement U online course discusses important practices for procurement offices to consider before adopting new eProcurement technologies. The course reviews key factors related to gaining support for projects, developing effective solicitations, and selecting solutions that best meet users’ needs, with an emphasis on principles of change management throughout the process.

Suggested Audience: Public procurement leaders and project managers who may be involved in assessing the need for, planning for, or procuring new eProcurement technologies.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

1. Identify the importance of internal and external buy-in to the success of an eProcurement project.

2. Recognize practices designed to manage change among eProcurement project stakeholders.

3. Describe special considerations when developing solicitations for eProcurement solutions.

4. Identify factors that are critical to an eProcurement evaluation and selection process.
