Description: This Procurement U microlearning explores the importance and relevance of open records laws within public procurement. The course reviews key considerations for public procurement professionals in preparing for open records requests and managing requests when they arise.
Many jurisdictions have open records laws in place stating which governmental information is subject to public disclosure. These laws sometimes use the term Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), similar to the legislation at the federal level, but they may take different names or forms.
