Course Description:

Enhance your ability to plan, lead, and execute effective evaluations and negotiations. This three-session virtual learning experience focuses on practical strategies for establishing fair evaluation processes, training evaluation teams, and managing negotiations that align project goals with organizational priorities. Through case studies and applied learning, you’ll strengthen your ability to make informed, equitable decisions that lead to successful procurement outcomes.

  • Session 1 – Plan Your Evaluation Strategy [90min]
  • Session 2 – How to Train Your Evaluators [90min]
  • Session 3 – Best Practices in Negotiations [90min]

Contact Hours: 5 hours

Goals:

Equip procurement professionals with comprehensive strategies for selecting evaluation panelists and facilitating successful negotiations. Key goals include developing fair and objective evaluation criteria using scoring rubrics, training evaluators for impartial and accurate proposal assessment, and creating and executing a Source Selection Plan. Additionally, participants will learn to approach Negotiations in a way that can identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, and address project scope gaps, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Overall Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Establish scoring rubrics and weight determinations for fair and objective evaluation criteria.
  • Train evaluators in accurately assessing proposals with a focus on impartiality.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive Source Selection Plan for managing evaluation panels.
  • Identify red flags during the negotiation phase to ensure a thorough understanding and mitigation of potential risks and challenges.
  • Utilize negotiations to address potential gaps in project scope.
