Stacia Dawson has been with the State of Missouri, Division of Purchasing since July 2005. As a division director, Stacia oversees the state’s Commodities, Information Technology, and Services Procurement sections, as well as the division’s operations, including the statewide Procurement system, MissouriBUYS.

Prior to becoming division director on November 21, 2025, Stacia served as the Assistant Director for almost 6 years and previously served as the section manager of the division’s Services procurement section.

Stacia holds a degree in Business Administration from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri and is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Missouri Leadership Academy. Additionally, she brings a national perspective to her role, having represented the State of Missouri as the Midwestern Regional Chair for the National Association of State Procurement Officials from 2023 to 2025. Stacia is certified as a Certified Professional Public Buyer and is a member of the National Association of State Procurement Officials, the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, and the Missouri Association of Public Purchasing.
