This Procurement U online course explains the purpose and features of bid-opening events. It discusses when they might be used, defines the primary types, and outlines common procedures that may take place.

Suggested Audience: Suppliers interested in participating in public procurement opportunities at the state or local level who are seeking a basic understanding of the practice of bid openings.

To provide important context for the use of bid openings in public procurement and describe how they may be experienced by participating suppliers.
