Description: This course is designed to support public procurement professionals in understanding basic principles of writing for the workplace. The course covers key considerations in planning out your written communication, structuring the content, and tailoring your writing style. It also discusses ideas for incorporating data or visual aids to support certain types of writing.

Suggested Audience: Any public sector or government professional seeking guidance on implementing elements of effective writing in the workplace. 

Goal(s): To provide public procurement officials with an understanding of factors to consider for effectively communicating messages through writing.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  1. Determine how to adjust your writing style based on the identified audience to effectively communicate.
  2. Prioritize information when writing in order to clearly send the intended message.
  3. Utilize clarity, respect, and proofreading in your writing.
