President’s Message
Hello, 2021!

As we start the new year, I want to thank you for the privilege of serving as your 2021 NASPO Board President. I and the other Board members take seriously our responsibility to nurture this organization. As part of that, I want to share two priorities I have for the coming year:

Advance the role of public procurement at the state level
During the pandemic, we have demonstrated that public procurement can, and should, have a place in state leadership. One of my goals this year will be to work with you and NASPO leadership to position ourselves to be of maximum benefit to our states.

Promotion of technology acceptance in public procurement
Technology can be key to moving public procurement forward, whether that’s implementing eProcurement or ensuring that our procurement offices have the technology needed to meet the remote work needs still in place due to the pandemic.

I look forward to working with you and serving you as President this year. I hope that you will reach out to me regarding these priorities as well as with any other thoughts you have to strengthen public procurement in your state.

NASPO Welcomes New Academic Partner

We Invite You to Attend the Regional Council Calls
Join us the third Tuesday (East/West) and Wednesday (Midwest/South) for each month for a one-hour discussion about regional issues, including COVID challenges and successes. Our next calls are February 16 & 17.

We love to have at least one representative from each state on each call. These calls are open to the CPO of each state and, with their permission, other representatives from the Central Procurement Office.
