Updated "NASPO State and Local Procurement: A Practical Guide" Released
NASPO Produces Second Edition of Go-To Guide for Government Procurement
The National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) is pleased to announce the release of the newly updated "NASPO State and Local Government Procurement: A Practical Guide." As the association representing state government procurement professionals throughout the U.S., NASPO's guide is widely used in government procurement offices and as a textbook in universities, colleges, and certification study programs.
"NASPO is committed to helping its members achieve success as public procurement leaders," said Deborah Damore, NASPO president and Vermont chief procurement officer. "The Practical Guide, as NASPO'S flagship publication, furthers that mission and the knowledge base of government procurement professionals across the nation."
The second edition includes new chapters on technology procurement, eProcurement, and protests as well as additional content on human services and emerging trends in public procurement. An updated chapter from a nationally recognized attorney experienced in antitrust laws is also included. Written by tenured public procurement experts, NASPO's "State and Local Government Procurement: A Practical Guide" focuses on procurement leadership, cradle to grave procurement needs, as well as benefits and current challenges.
Books are available for purchase by visiting:
