Director Biography:
Ms. Desai-McCleary was named Acting Director of the Division of Purchase and Property in September 2010. Her background includes extensive experience as a contract and employment attorney for the Defense Department. She formerly was a Senior Attorney and procurement Subject Matter Expert in the Chief Counsel’s Office at the U.S. Army’s Picatinny Arsenal in northern New Jersey. She also served as a Senior Attorney and Acting Division Chief in the Business Law Division of the Office of the Chief Counsel at the U.S. Army’s Fort Monmouth installation in Monmouth County. She was also a Senior Associate with the law firm of Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Munoz in Freehold. Prior to becoming an associate, she also clerked for two judges in Middlesex County. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Art History in 1991 and a law degree in 1994, both from Rutgers University.
