Director Biography: Greg Smith is the Administrator and Chief Procurement Officer of the Nevada State Purchasing Division. Greg assumed this role in July 2003, after serving as the agency’s Deputy Administrator in charge of Services Procurement. Prior to joining state government, Greg was President of a west coast pizza chain with 57 stores operating in California, Nevada and Washington. Greg enjoys golf and politics. He served two (2) terms on the Carson City Board of Supervisors in the 90’s and has chaired numerous Northern Nevada Boards and Commissions over the years. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) andPresident-elect of the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO).
