Director Biography:
Brenda began working with the State of Nebraska, DAS Materiel Division, State Purchasing Bureau in 1977 as an office clerk. She worked her way through many different positions, including that of a Buyer and worked her way through many different commodities, including food, vehicles, agricultural equipment, and road equipment. Brenda received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska in May 2002. In September of 2002, she was promoted to State Procurement Manager. Her current responsibilities include, under administrative direction, directs the development and implementation of State-government-wide procurement regulations and procedures, oversees review of agency procurement actions, supervises and manages the professional and support level procurement staff and programmatic and administrative operations of the State Purchasing Bureau, and assists with the overall management of the State Materiel Division.
