Christine is the State Purchasing Agent for the State of Washington. She began working for the State of Washington, Department of General Administration, Office of State Procurement in 1991 as a buyer. In 2001, she was promoted to a Procurement Unit Manager; and in 2007 was promoted to the State Purchasing Agent. Prior to state service, Christine held purchasing positions with the federal government, higher education, and in the manufacturing field. In 2003, Christine earned her CPPB; and in 2006 she earned her CPPO.
In her capacity as the State Purchasing Agent, Christine has oversight of non-IT Goods and Purchased Services. During her tenure with the Department of General Administration, she has managed the Correctional Industries program, travel program, and several multi-state contracts. She was instrumental in establishing the first career development plan and an overhaul of the state’s purchasing policies, procedures, and forms.
