Voight Shealy, current NASPO Past-President (2007-2008), has more than 26 years of service with the State of South Carolina. The first fifteen of those years were spent auditing state agencies for the State Auditor's Office and the Office of Audit and Certification. After managing Audit and Certification for 10 years, he was named the State Procurement Officer in March 1994. Since that time, he has served as the Chief Procurement Officer for Goods and Services, one of three chief procurement officers for the State of South Carolina who hear protests of solicitations and awards of contracts, requests for resolutions of contract controversies, and debarments. In August 1996, the Office of General Services selected Voight for the position of Materials Management Officer, the state's highest procurement position. His office processes procurements valued at more than $1 billion annually.

Voight is very active in the National Association of State Procurement Officers (NASPO). A recipient of the Association's President's Award, he was recently elected for his third consecutive two-year term to the Board of Directors.
