NASPO

Denise has been the Director of Louisiana's Office of State Purchasing and Travel for 10 years where she serves as the State's Chief Procurement Officer with oversight for the procurement and warehousing functions in the State. She has worked for the State for over 29 years.

Denise is a member of the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) and served as the President for NASPO in 2003. In August 2005 Denise was awarded the Guilio Mazzone Distinguished Service Award. Denise participates as a National and a Louisiana Chapter member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP).

Working with the National Association of State Procurement Officials, Denise has served on the following committees: Finance Committee, I.T Committee, Future of NASPO Committee, Nominations, Model Procurement Code Task Force, Strategic Partners and Alliances Task Force, the State and Federal Relations Committee and the E-Procurement Task Force. Denise has Chaired the Research and Publications Committee, the Marketing Meeting, the Annual Meeting as well as the Cooperative Purchasing and Emerging Issues Committee.
