Biography
Carol Wilson, C.P.M., is the Procurement Director for the State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services. Carol has worked in the procurement industry since 1985 starting as a Buyer for Aetna, Inc. and continued her role as a Purchasing Consultant at Aetna until 1997. In 1997 she joined the public sector in Procurement at the Department of Administrative Services and has served in various capacities including Contract Team Leader, Assistant Procurement Manager, and most recently Director of Procurement.
Carol earned her degree from Becker College with honors in 1981, and earned her lifetime C.P.M. designation from the Institute of Supply Management in 1996. She has been active with the Connecticut Association of Purchasing Management (CAPM) including serving a term as Public Relations Director, the Public Purchasing Association of Connecticut (PPAC) and most recently with National Association of Purchasing Management (NASPO). In 2004 she was recognized through her public service by the State of Connecticut, Management Advisory Council, and received the 2004 Connecticut Distinguished Managerial Service Award. She is also a current NASPO Board Member (2006-2008).
A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Carol devotes her free time to family, church and outdoor activities including her favorite pastime of camping.
