Emerging Issues Committee
Committee Charge:

To keep NASPO members aware of important issues affecting state procurement, the Emerging Issues Committee will work to identify and assess procurement trends and emerging issues as to their potential to affect the states. The committee will distribute/communicate information and resources on these issues to NASPO members and highlight their potential impact on state procurement. The committee will also coordinate with the various program committees to provide information and resources for annual meetings to augment policy sessions and learning opportunities at the meetings.

State-Vendor Communication Work Group

Work Group Charge:

The State-Vendor Communication Work Group has been formed under NASPO's Emerging Issues Committee to lead research to gauge the current status regarding state laws, statutes, code of conducts, rules, guidelines, and/or practices for vendor communication and exchange of information prior to publication of a formal solicitation. The State-Vendor Communication Work Group and NASPO support staff developed a questionnaire and surveyed the NASPO membership during the months of June and July of 2011.

The survey results have been posted to the Members-only area of the Web Site and may help procurement officials develop communication guidelines or policies for their agencies. Click here to download a full PDF version of the Report:
